CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR ALL AGES
Sundays, 9:15am
Classes begin Sunday, September 12th
Adult Classes:
Theology 101: John Calvin begins his monumental work, The Institutes of Christian Religion, with
these words: "Nearly all the wisdom we possess, that is to say, true andsound wisdom,
consists of two parts: the knowledge of God and of ourselves." These are foundational
matters for us to understand as believers in Jesus Christ. We will explore the existence
of God and his attributes, the unique status of mankind as image-bearers of God,
and the source of all true knowledge - God's revelation of himself in nature and in Scripture.
Our goal will be the discovery of just how important it is for us to have a sound doctrine
of Scripture, God and mankind if we are to live fruitful lives in God's service.
Taught by Dustyn Eudaly.
Evangelism & Apologetics: The intellectual integrity of the Christian faith seems to be
under increasing attack in our modern culture. And yet, the Apostle Paul instructs
us that we must "always be ready to give a defense (or, in the Greek, an apologia)
to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you." 1Peter 3:15. So, how
do we make ourselves ready? Are we as Christians equipped to respond with
confidence to the claims of modern day unbelievers?
In this class, we will ecplore God's word in order to answer these questions. Our
goal will be to begin to develop a consistently biblical approach to proclaiming
the gospel and defending the faith. Along the way, we will see how the Scriptures provide
the believer with answers to life's most fundamental and pressing questions - what do
I know to be true, how do I know it, and how do I live my life as a result?
Taught by Tate Taylor.
Exploring Christianity: This class will be ideal for those who either understand what
Christians believe and have questions, or who desire to begin to understand the claims
of the Christian message. We will be studying the New Testament book of Mark with
and eye on discovering who Jesus Christ was, why he came, and how he influences
the lives of Christians. Everyone is welcome who wants to investigate Christianity informally
with a group of other people. Taught by Brad Meyers and Greg Fisher.
High School Class: "Understanding God's Word" The high school class will discuss "What
is the Bible?" and "How can I use it most effectively in my life?" Taught by Steve Light.

covenant plan and how we fit into it. Taught by Bill & Kathryn Brannan.
