Our "core values" explain our belief in the power of the Gospel to transform our lives. The message of the gospel is that Christ has done what is necessary to bring us into a relationship with God. That means our sinfulness does not count against us and it also means our religious efforts do not count for us. In addition, we believe the Bible is the Word of God and thus, with respect to the life of our Church, as in our lives generally, a sufficient and trustworthy guide.

In light of these commitments, we provide a variety of opportunities to study God's Word, including weekly preaching, small groups and men's and women's Bible studies. If you are interested in joining with us in one these opportunities for spiritual growth, please click on the link at the right to see a current schedule and contact.

Whether you are brand new to the study of the Bible, or have studied the Scriptures for some time, you will benefit from the application of God's word to your life through these studies.

Small Groups

The basic purpose for small groups is "the development of genuine community among God's people (fellowship)." Genuine biblical fellowship takes place when we turn from our individualism and actively seek to involve ourselves in the lives of others while recognizing our own need of one another in living the Christian life.

The scriptures indicate one of the primary purposes of the Lord
Jesus Christ for his church is her
"edification" or "building up"
(oikodomeo). "In him (Christ),"
Paul says, the whole building is
joined together and rises to
become a holy temple in the Lord" (Ephesians 2:21).

Today the church grows, not by joining of physical stones, but by the joining of human lives filled with the Spirit of God.

Because the Christian life is inescapably corporate, we need one another to grow to spiritual maturity. In small group settings we have the opportunity to discuss how the scriptures read and preached on Sundays can be applied to our lives in practical ways.

We have a context for sharing our joys, sorrows, questions, and failures with fellow pilgrims. Here we experience needed encouragement, accountability and correction. In our small groups we can fulfill Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Please click on the link at the right to see a current schedule and contact person.

Young Adults

The designation, "Young Adults" is intentionally broad. If you think the shoe might fit, then by all means wear it. We get together throughout the year for bible study, fellowship, etc. Please contact Dustyn Eudaly, d.eudaly@verizon.net if you would like to learn more.

This is a great way to meet folks in the same general life setting you may be facing and to be introduced to the various avenues of church life in our congregation.

Women's Ministries

* Women's Council

The Women's Council at HTPC was formed to more fully employ our various gifts as Christian women and more effectively minister to the women of the church. The Women's Council works as the liaison between the Session and Deacons to the women of the Church. This council oversees and provides direction regarding mercy, discipleship, women's bible study (see below), hospitality and special events. Kathryn Brannan is the current Chairperson.

* Women's Bible Study

Holy Trinity holds Bible studies for women throughout the year, with both morning and evening groups, studying either a book of the Bible or a specific topic. Our goals are to further edify and educate women in the Word of God, to instruct them in sound doctrine, and to develop covenantal relationships among women as the scriptures are studied together. Missy Casselli is the current Chairperson for this committee. Please click on the link at the right to see a current schedule and contact person.

Men's Bible Studies

Currently, there are several men's Bible study groups meeting at various times throughout the week. Please click on the link at the right to see a current schedule and contact person.
