Early On

In 1995 God brought together 17 individuals from different church backgrounds to explore the possibility of starting a Bible believing church in the South Tampa community. Over the next several months, these families met regularly for prayer, Bible study and discussion. At the end of this time, they concluded it would be wise to be a denominationally connected church, and the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) seemed to best fit their beliefs. With this step taken, the search process for a minister began.

Getting Started

In 1998, Steve Casselli from Westminster Theological Seminary was called as the organizing pastor. Rental space was secured On the campus of Palma Ceia Baptist Church in the heart of South Tampa and Holy Trinity held her first service of public worship on November 8, 1998. Kyle B. Oliphint joined our staff in 2000 and was ordained as our first Associate Minister in April of that same year. On January 21, 2001, we were recognized as an official church in the PCA, ordaining and installing our first elders and deacons. Dustyn Eudaly joined our staff in October of 2002 and was ordained as our second Associate Minister in June of 2004.

Today

Our prayers for a permanent home have been answered by the purchase of a building in the Hyde Park area of South Tampa in May of 2009. As a congregation, we continue in the faith that God himself will build His church to His own glory among us and in our community.
